United For Atiku’s Mandate (UFAM), one of the numerous Support Groups of His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, with a formidable structure in the 36 states of the Federation, including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, held its inauguration/ campaign flag off and strategic meeting on the 26th of November 2018, at the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organization (APCO) Head Office in Abuja.
The event was graced by the National Executives, Regional Executives and State Coordinators of UFAM, including a cross section of dignitaries and supporters. The National Coordinator of UFAM, Comrade Anthony Nwaobi charged members to remain resolute and committed to the cause of Atiku’s mandate, emphasizing the cardinal objective of UFAM to generate 100 votes per polling unit in all the polling units across the federation. He noted that Atiku Abubakar will end poverty and hunger in Nigeria because apart from having the experience, exposure, competence, track records and unquenchable passion for a better Nigeria, he painstakingly developed a workable development plan for the country. Comrade Nwaobi warned Nigerians that what APC the ruling party has is mere empty promises without substance.
At the occasion, the official spokesman of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organization Mr. Segun Showunmi appreciated the laudable objective and noble intentions of UFAM, he noted that the 2019 general elections is a battle for the soul of Nigeria, so all hands must be on deck to ensure the success of Atiku Abubakar who has proven track records that all should be proud to associate with. He emphasized that UFAM and all other support groups should ensure that all votes count, to check the numbers properly and be wary of misguided individuals who do not mean well for Nigeria. He added that the time to make Nigeria one has come and Nigeria needs Atiku who is a tested and trusted detribalized individual with the requisite qualification, experience, political will, zeal and commitment to make Nigeria work again. He urged the UFAM group to work hard and ensure the victory of Atiku in the 2019 general elections, on the drive of UFAM to attain 100 votes for Atiku per polling unit; Mr. Segun Showunmi suggested a workable strategy to attain the objective.
After the interactive and brainstorming session, Comrade Anthony Nwaobi encouraged members of UFAM to be more focused to ensure that the letter and spirit of the winning strategic plan is dutifully followed to ensure the victory of Atiku Abubakar, which will translate to the much desired meaningful development in Nigeria.
