Seven Killed, Five injured in fresh attack in Kaduna

At least seven people have been killed and five others injured following a fresh attack by armed bandits in three communities in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
The latest attack comes just two days after the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General TUKUR BURATAI inaugurated a two Battalion Forward Operation Base in Birnin-Gwari.
The Kaduna state police command Public Relations Officer, MUKTAR ALIYU, who confirmed the incident said the armed bandits invaded Mashigi, Dakwaro villages on Wednesday night and started shooting sporadically, burning down houses and farmlands in an operation which the residents said lasted for over three hours.
Hundreds of people including security operatives have been killed and several others abducted in Birnin-Gwari in the past one year in series of attacks by armed bandits.
